Preventative Maintenance Well another year has gone by and frost season is just around the corner. It is the time of year when it is imperative that your pump system operates flawlessly to protect your valued grapes. No one wants to experience the scare of a frost protection system not working properly and damaging a crop of grapes. Bartley Pump is here to ease your mind with a preventative maintenance program designed to ensure a smooth transition to frost season. Our labor rates are $ 100.00 an hour and Bartley Pump will perform the following system checks: Pump System Checks 1. Amperage draw of electric motors 2. Incoming and running volts and check system for grounds. 3. Check Motor Saver settings 4. Check condition of plumbing, electrical, and valves. 5. Check control circuitry 6. Run pump units and check for adequate flow. 7. Check oil and change if needed on gear heads and vertical motors. 8. Check for bearing noise and any vibration with pump running. 9. For engine-driven systems check pump and gear head operation. Ensure pump is not overloading the engine by using too much horsepower. Customer should have engine serviced by engine specialists. 10. Check overall system efficiency. Power consumption and volume pumped. Filter System Maintenance 1. Open the filter and check screen for cleanness and screen integrity 2. Check the mechanical operation and make sure motor is operating properly 3. Ensure that exhaust valves open properly 4. Clean the command water filter 5. Clean the coarse screen and clean the fine screen if necessary 6. Reassemble filter and run system to insure proper operation. 7. For sand-media filters we will inspect the quality of the media and condition of controller, solenoid valves, and backwash valves.
